Champlain is Ontario’s easternmost LHIN, includes the nation's capital, and covers a geography that is otherwise mostly rural. It shares a border with Quebec and the United States.
Eleven thousand years ago, the Champlain Sea covered most of what is now the Ottawa Valley all the way to the St. Lawrence. It left behind sea shells, remains of Beluga whales, and a sense of shared destiny for the people who live here.
